I am currently a primary school teacher in Brisbane, with over 17 years classroom experience. During this time, I have taught a variety year levels in three different schools.  I also had the opportunity to work part-time in a school library and it was this position that sparked my passion for becoming a Teacher-Librarian. I first-hand saw the difference that a qualified and enthusiastic Teacher-Librarian can make to the culture and educational outcomes of a school. I too wanted to make a difference and it is this passion that led to my Master of Education (Teacher-Librarianship) studies at Queensland University of Technology.

Before becoming a primary school teacher, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and a Graduate Diploma in communications.
